Spear & Jackson was established in May, 1957 however our parent company has been manufacturing garden tools since 1760. Combining traditional craftsmanship and leading technology with over 250 years of experience, our tools have shaped gardens for centuries.
The Spear & Jackson range of garden cultivating and cutting tools has been designed to appeal to gardeners of all levels. Our range of gardening tools includes a variety of shovels, suitable for trade and DIY work, available with long or short handles in either oak, fibreglass or steel. Our rakes feature either plastic or metal heads and are constructed with lightweight metal handles. Our cutting tools include secateurs, loppers, bow saws and pruning saws. We also have axes, hatchets and block splitters with either wood or fibreglass handles.
Over the years, our range has expanded and we’ve been able to cater not just to gardeners but also to contractors, engineers, builders and agricultural workers. We’ve developed a range of hand tools suitable for both DIY and professional use including metal and timber cutting equipment such as hand saws, hacksaws and metal snips. We also manufacture striking equipment such as claw, sledge and club hammers as well as rubber and wood mallets. Our range of measuring tools and marking equipment includes marking gauges, stainless steel rulers, carpenters’ squares, levels, tape measures, chalk, chalk reels, paint markers, pens and pencils. We also have a work wear range of builders’ aprons, nail bags, riggers belts and holsters.
