New Balance
In 1906 the New Balance story began with an English inventor in Boston, Massachusetts who had a goal to advance the performance of footwear for people who are always on their feet. His vision was inspired by the perfect balance of the chickens he’d observed in his garden. The first shoe he made had flexible arch support and three points of support in a triangle which mimicked the chickens and offered greater balance and comfort. Since then, New Balance have continued to grow far beyond chicken feet, with innovative designs expanding into industrial footwear.
New balance knows how hard it is to be on your feet all day. This is why they created industrial footwear for the working man and woman. New Balance designers have used innovative technology such as Fresh Foam to provide comfortable cushioning and stability as well as Abzorb® cushioning which moves the point of force away from the area of impact to reduce the impact on your body. New Balance designed three different styles of work shoes which include:
- The 806 which was engineered for men and women’s safety and comfort. This shoe combines fresh foam comfort technology with slip resistant lugs, allowing you to move comfortably and safely while working.
- The 626 that was made for industrial workers who are on their feet all day. It has an Abzorb® heel crash pad and a slip resistant sole making it the stand out choice for the average worker.
- The 627 which was customised with a steel toe to protect workers from falling items in the workplace. Their slip resistant sole also gives workers stability when working on slippery floors.
