Culture & Careers at ATOM
Over 300 people call ATOM their home-away-from-home. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are our greatest asset, and we wouldn’t be the fastest-growing Industrial and Safety Supplier in Australia without their collective contributions.
We truly value our employees and as such offer a few perks such as:
- Competitive salary
- A fun working environment with recognition of work/life balance
- Employee discount across our entire range of products
- Career and succession development and planning
- Staff uniform provided
- Opportunity to work closely with senior staff
We believe in celebrating the good times and acknowledging ATOM’s successes too. As a family-owned business, ATOM is led by a strong service culture and family-like values. Our corporate culture is hard-working but fun – driven by The Golden Principle that “We do the little things for each other to ensure the little things get done for our customers”. We’re passionate about customer service and providing our team with the opportunity to progress their careers and use their skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
ATOM offers a diverse range of jobs across our national network of ATOM Industrial and Safety Walkthrough Warehouses. Whether you’re looking for warehouse jobs that will have you working as an integral part of a team, a sales and service focused role that will offer you the opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to customer service, a role in management allowing you to showcase your leadership abilities, or anything in-between, ATOM can provide a rewarding and safe workplace for you to achieve your career objectives.
We also believe locals serve locals best, and so seek to hire from the local communities surrounding our warehouse locations. This helps us to provide that next level understanding of the unique challenges and needs our customers face from operating within a particular area. Reach out to your local branch if you feel you can contribute to the ATOM experience.
Our support office in Perth provides contracts, procurement, marketing, IT, accounting and human resources support to all of our branches, to assist them in serving our customers. At ATOM, we work as a team, and every member of staff is encouraged to do the little things for each other to ensure that the little things get done for our customers. We also have our team of Industrial Safety Experts and Inventory Control Experts to provide assistance and advice.
Diversity
ATOM appreciates the value that company-wide diversity brings to a workforce, and so we strive to have a workforce that reflects the community we serve. Equality of opportunity in employment is important to create a workplace that is inclusive and accessible to everyone. At ATOM, we actively recognise the rights of people with disability and value the contribution intellectually impaired employees make to our team. Having a diverse workforce allows us to pool a varied collection of skills and experience together to be creative, innovative and more competitive when it comes to serving our customers. ATOM is proudly an equal opportunity employer.

Chairman's Challenge
The “Chairman’s Challenge” is ATOM’s way of acknowledging, celebrating and thanking members of our team who consistently display the ATOM values. The annual challenge was established to recognise those who do all the little things (go above and beyond), time and time again, for our customers and/or their ATOM peers. Challengers are nominated by fellow team members and are selected based on who best represents our motto - “we’re here to serve”.
The type of challenges nominees have faced include the 96km Kokoda Trek and the 108km Bibbulmun Hike from Donnelly River to Pemberton. These are not just physical and mental challenges, but one of cultural significance, connecting our team with our sister company Bishops in Papua New Guinea and our 3PL partner Kulbardi in Western Australia. Through exposing our challengers to these different cultures and traditions, as well as overcoming fears and pushing themselves further than they ever thought possible, we hope they come away from this experience rich in confidence and feeling empowered in their role.
